Frequently asked questions

Find a short answer, then follow the relevant guide.

Windows 10 (19041+) · x64 / ARM64 · PoC

Is this a finished product?

RMCL is a released, free experiment in Sprout UI and AI assistance. You can use it if the project interests you. Read Install and prepare to begin.

Which computers are supported?

Windows 10 version 2004, build 19041, or later, on x64 or ARM64. Minecraft, Java and mods have separate requirements.

Do I buy RMCL to play?

RMCL is free. Minecraft entitlement comes through the relevant official channels, and an optional model service may charge separately. Using the launcher does not include those purchases.

Is the source public?

Not yet. An open-source release is planned. You do not need source access to use RMCL.

Must I sign in with Microsoft or configure AI?

No. Existing instances, supported local use and manual configuration have separate routes. Servers requiring an authenticated identity still enforce it. Manual game management and skin painting do not require a model.

Why use several instances?

Separate versions, mods and settings are easier to manage and preserve. An instance is not a world: one instance can have several worlds. Read Instance management.

My games disappeared after changing the data folder

Changing the folder does not migrate data. Check the current and previous locations, keep the files and use Import to copy them in. Do not delete the previous folder first.

A resource pack or shader has no visible effect

Installed does not mean selected in game. Enable the resource pack, or check shader support and selection. Read Content installation.

Why will CurseForge content not download online?

No default CurseForge online service is provided currently. Offline ZIP import and manual file completion remain. Modrinth online content is available. Read Modpacks.

The server is online. Why can I not join?

Status querying and joining are separate. Versions, mods, account, allowlists, capacity and networking can all matter. Keep the game's message and read Servers.

AI said it finished. Where is the result?

Check actual tools, tasks and game state. Queued does not mean completed, and a started process does not mean a ready world. An interrupted answer also does not mean every earlier change failed. Read AI assistant.

Is an edited skin applied to my account automatically?

No. Export a PNG and use the actual account or game environment's supported flow. Keep the project for editable layers and history; a PNG does not replace it. Read Skin designer.

Can it play or survive for me?

Automatic gameplay and character management have not been delivered. AI focuses on explanations and assistance with clear tasks. A direction of development is not a current capability.
