Use and limitations

Understand free use, source plans, game entitlement and protecting your data.

What is provided

RMCL is a released, free Minecraft: Java Edition launcher and a proof of concept for Sprout UI and AI assistance. If the experiment interests you, you can use it in a suitable environment.

Features continue to evolve. Available behavior depends on your version, interface messages and actual task results. There is no fixed support period, response-time promise or guarantee for every game version and mod combination.

Free use and source plans

RMCL is free. Source code is not public yet; an open-source release is planned. A specific license will accompany the source release. Free use does not mean the source is already available.

Minecraft entitlement, servers, content platforms and AI services have their own conditions and costs. They are not included with the free launcher.

Relationship with Minecraft

RMCL is independent and is not an official Minecraft, Mojang or Microsoft product. It does not claim certification, sponsorship or endorsement.

The launcher does not provide game ownership. Accounts, online services and servers remain subject to their applicable requirements.

Third-party content

Mods, modpacks, resource packs, shaders, Java, authentication and AI services come from their respective providers. Check their source, license and conditions before downloading or sharing.

Exporting a modpack does not automatically grant redistribution rights for every file. Check for private information before sharing configuration.

Keep independent copies

Recovery depends on records that actually remain and does not replace an independent backup. File deletion, game saves and manual external changes have different recovery limits.

AI use

AI is optional assistance. Answers may be wrong, and model output does not prove a tool ran or the game is ready. Inspect the actual target and result after a change.

Your model provider may charge fees and handles requests under its own rules. Read Privacy and data.

Updates and feedback

Keep important data backed up when updating. Check the app name, version and publisher. Use Feedback and logs to explain a problem, share relevant evidence and remove private content.
